Ranch Factor Official Rules and Regulations
Presented by 95.9 The Ranch
Contestants

KFWR, 95.9 The Ranch will extend invitations regarding participation.  By accepting, participants are granting 95.9 The Ranch and Sponsors all rights regarding all photos, videos, and recordings submitted or taken in relation to the Ranch Factor competition for all media purposes.

Time Line

6/01/16- Start accepting entries via website.
6/30/16- Entries Closed
7/05/16- Announce (12) Qualifying bands, (3) alternates

Round 1:
Week 1- 7/11/17-(3) Bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) Band selected to advance to Round 2.
Week 2- 7/18/17-(3) Bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) Band selected to advance to Round 2.
Week 3- 7/25/17-(3) Bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) Band selected to advance to Round 2
Week 4- 8/1/17-(3) Bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) Band selected to advance to Round 2
Week 5 – 8/8/17-(Wild Card Round) – the 2ndplace bands, previously eliminated from each previous week perform (2) originals and (1) cover song (2) bands selected to advance to Round 2.

Round 2:
Week 6- 8/15/17- Band 1 performs a 60-minute, full band set.
Week 7- 8/22/17- Band 2 performs a 60-minute, full band set.
Week 8- 8/29/17- Band 3 performs a 60-minute, full band set.
Week 9 – 9/5/17- Band 4 performs a 60-minute, full band set.
Week 10- 9/12/17- Band 5 performs a 60-minute, full band set.
Week 11- 9/19/17- Band 6 performs a 60-minute, full band set.

Round 3:
Week 12- 9/26/17- Bands 1,2,3 perform (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) band eliminated, (2) winners move on to Round 4.
Week 13- 10/3/17- Bands 4,5,6 perform (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) band eliminated, (2) winners move on to Round 4.

Round 4:
Week 14- 10/11/17- (4) remaining bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) band eliminated.
Week 15- 10/17/17- (3) remaining bands perform; (2) originals and (1) cover song (1) band eliminated.
Week 16- 10/24/17- (2) remaining bands perform 30 minutes (1) band crowned winner.

Judging Criteria

Attendance/ On-site votes- Votes will be collected during each night’s performances and will count towards the popular vote.  Popular vote accounts for 40% of the overall judging criteria.
Judges votes- Judges selected by 95.9 The Ranch will be on-site throughout the competition.  They will judge on the criteria of marketability in the Texas Music Scene, Instrumental Ability and Technicality, Vocal Ability, Song Writing, Crowd Interaction and improvement throughout the competition.  Judge’s vote accounts for 60% of the overall judging criteria.

95.9 The Ranch is not responsible for any technical errors in the voting or judging process that can reasonably be considered out of the control of the station.

The Station, all sponsors and affiliates have no liability for any injury or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering or participating in any contest and/or the use of any prize.

The station reserves the right to disqualify or render ineligible any entry based on its sole discretion.

The Station reserves the right to change, update, or amend any rules without prior notice.

By participating, all Entrants give the Station, Sponsors and affiliates unrestricted rights to any photos, video, recordings, information collected in relation to the contest for promotional or any use it deems appropriate without compensation.

By participating all entrants are agreeing to the Official Rules.

Prizes

1st Place Winner:
Exclusive contract with Vision Entertainment for Artist Management, Booking, Film & Television placement, and streaming promotion
Studio production for 3 songs with Bart Rose at Fort Worth Sound
$1,000 Merch Package from Printed Threads

All prizes are non-transferable or assignable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other consideration, and no substitutes will be allowed except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value or nature if advertised prize is not available.  Each prize winner is responsible for compliance with all federal, state and/or local laws and regulations that apply, including, without limitation, payment of applicable taxes.  All expenses not specifically provided in the Ranch Factor prize package are the responsibility of the prize winner.
